While the publication of this report forms part of our regulatory responsibilities, atParker Russell we believe its importance goes considerably further. It provides an opportunity to demonstrate how we operate as a firm, the standards we set for ourselves, the progress we have made, and the areas in which we continue to strengthen and improve.
Quality, integrity and professional judgement are fundamental to the way we work. This report sets out our approach to governance, audit quality, ethics and independence, risk management, and the development of our people, together with the systems and processes that support these areas across the firm.
As auditors, we recognise the important role we play in maintaining confidence in financial reporting and in serving the wider public interest. With that responsibility comes the need to continually challenge ourselves, respond to changes in the profession and regulatory environment, and ensure that quality remains at the heart of our decision-making.
We are proud of the progress we have made, but we also recognise that maintaining and improving audit quality requires sustained focus and investment. This report therefore seeks to provide a balanced and transparent account of our achievements, the challenges we face and the actions we are taking to further strengthen the firm.
